Out with old and in with the new for South Taranaki farm

This Hawera farm needed a replacement for their existing steel beam (railway irons), and timber deck bridge that provides farm access over the Mangatoki Stream.

Bridge It NZ provided a complete solution for them by firstly removing their old bridge, then placing new abutments in behind the old, which tied into the existing walls to maintain its stability. We then installed a new 11m Double T all concrete, heavy duty, single span bridge - capable of taking fully loaded truck and trailer units.
