Connecting the Pāpāmoa Community

A well-used community connection in Pāpāmoa has been given a much-needed upgrade.

Bridge It NZ recently completed this boardwalk bridge replacement for Tauranga City Council, replacing an existing structure that had well and truly reached the end of its life.

Located within a busy reserve, the bridge is used every day by dog walkers, cyclists, families and others moving through the area. The goal was to provide a safer, more durable and accessible connection, built to handle the way the space is actually used.

The result is a clean, practical upgrade designed for long-term, low-maintenance performance while fitting naturally into the surrounding reserve.

Projects like this are about more than replacing an ageing structure. They’re about maintaining the everyday connections that help communities move safely and easily through the places they live.

We build bridges, but it’s what they connect that matters.
